THE SHOPPING DIARY: APRIL 2008

The Shopping Diary

By Rebecca Philps

With a name like Jessica Blossom Clark, it seems a given that you’d grow up to be a florist. Clark, a Thomas Hobbs protégée, creates fresh, modern, exquisitely beautiful arrangements out of her West Side Quince Fine Florals shop. 4870 Mackenzie St., 604-263-0202.

Coal Harbour pups could learn a thing or two about a seriously pampered life from Yorkville pooches. Lucky for them, Toronto-based Bark& Fitz, purveyor of all things decadent for dogs, has touched down in Vancouver. 561 Cardero St., 604-568-6096.

Orb clothing is opening its flagship store, packed with fitted graphic tees and wide-leg crop pants, in the space that formally housed Hafatzim. 2028 W. Fourth Ave., 604-568-6720.

The roving Komakino men’s store hasn’t strayed too far from home; the new guerrilla location, carrying Japanese labels Number (N)ine and Julius, is still in Gastown, at 109 W. Cordova St., 604-618-1344.
