Rock out with Kiehl’s and Lights this week at Studio Records. The skincare guru and Juno Award-winning artist have planned a secret acoustic show on September 24th for fans and supporters of their charitable initiative Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids. The project supports MusiCounts, an organization whose mission is to ensure that children in Canada, regardless of socio-economic circumstances or cultural background, have access to a music program through their school or community. The goal of Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids is to raise $50,000 for MusiCounts through the sale of the limited edition Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream created by Lights. The Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids Ultra Facial Cream won’t be around forever and neither will the opportunity to be a part of the unique, intimate performance by Lights, so time is of the essence. Fans can sign up for tickets from now until September 22nd (tomorrow!) online at www.kiehls.ca/kiehlsgives. They are limited and will be awarded randomly among sign ups. Winners will receive an email with a video message from Lights to notify them that they have won. They will then be invited to pick up their tickets at the Kiehl’s location on Robson Street.1021 Robson St. #100, 604-408-4182, Kiehls.ca

On the importance of music education, Lights explains that, “It was such an important part of my youth; it was an outlet, a confidant, an escape and something I was very proud of. Without access to instruments growing up I wouldn’t be the same person I am today. MusiCounts puts the power of music education in the hands of young people who would otherwise go without it.

The limited edition of the customer favourite Ultra Facial Cream featuring an original illustration by Lights on the label will be available at Kiehl’s stores nationwide in September, with 100% of net profits donated to MusiCounts.
