Casinos and fine dining were once mutually exclusive. That was before the owners of the River Rock wisely decided to poach talent from some of the best rooms in town and create a spot that offers a welcome respite from the buzz downstairsÑand some quality (if mainstream) fare. Try the char-grilled Tomahawk steak with duck-fat potatoes. The wine list is well-chosen and fairly deep, though pricey in spots. Enjoy il tramonto (the sunset), then go feed some coins into slot machines. Maybe they’ll pay for dinner.
