A small industrial park outside Tofino is home to chef Tim May’s casual, open-concept kitchen where he serves rustic fare and caters. The long and narrow takeout space serves a weekly changing menu of quick lunches, hearty dinners, take-away meals, and fresh baking, wisely crafted to reflect seasonality and May’s creativity. Think lemon sabayon tarts with candied almond praline, chicken pot pies, cumin-scented wild salmon chowder, Tofino IPA battered fish and chips, or braised lamb shoulder risotto. Minimal seating on the rough-hewn deck, or better yet, take it to-go for a trip kayaking, fishing, or aprs surfing.
