What began as a hip little taco and tequila room has built enough of a following to expand into the space next door. Those from south of the border may scoff at paying up to $5 for a taco, but we gringos are happy to fork over a relative premium for a funky space that throws cocktails and cool tunes into the mix. From a menu that takes the odd strange turn (tuna with wasabi crema, for instance), the classic options reap the best returns. The Lomo Cantinero taco is a pillow of perfectly pulled pork, brightened up with pineapple-tinged pico de gallo the Suadero sees beef brisket given real depth from an achiote-and-beer marinade. Vegetarians are catered to with uncommonly inventive options.
