One of only two Canadian outlets for this chain of popular bake shops from the Philippines, Goldilocks is known for fanciful towering cakes and baked sweets. But it also offers Filipino fare, packaged for convenient grab-and-go meals. Expat favourites include skewers of sweet barbecued chicken or pork and fresh lum pia, an egg-crepe wrap of vegetables, hearts of palm, and tofu all drizzled with a tangy garlic sauce. There’s limited seating available for those with time to tuck into a gargantuan bowl of mamiÑegg noodles swimming in a flavourful broth with vegetables and boiled eggs.
