This popular and scenic bar and grill is perched on pilings over the Fraser River, originally as a place to get a bite while waiting for seaplane flights to points more remote. It has since been commandeered by boisterous post-shift airport employees as a convenient watering hole (warning: it can be loud later in the evening). Food runs the gamut of Canadian pub classics nothing is too imaginative, but you’re here for the view (seaplanes buzzing past, seals and beavers swimming underneath) and drinks. The Flying Beaver’s own shuttle bus takes drinking customers home if they live nearby.
