On the once-sedate western tip of Davie Village, this South of the Border Cantina quickly established itself as one of the most popular (and lively) eateries in the neighbourhood. The tiny space makes up in character what it lacks in size: bottles of Mexican beer and fresh-fruit cocktails (try one of the exemplary margaritas) flow freely. Mexi-mainstays (tacos, enchiladas, taquitos) are all accounted for, but the kitchen excels at seafood try for the pan-seared B.C. ling cod tacos with mango salsa, or the beautifully fresh and astringent ceviche haba–ero.
