With the motto “Sightseeing for your taste buds,” this celebration of our native cuisines cycles through the regions and seasons with shifting menus that highlight meats, seafoods and produce. From East Coast lobster to Dungeness crab, with stops along the way for Albertan steak and Peace Country lamb, birch syrup and all things bacon, to a loaded duck poutine and pepper-candied strips with rye-chocolate dipping sauce, it’s a crash course in the new way we’re eating and (especially) drinking. Smart wines at smart prices, all by the glass, trumpet the best of the Okanagan. The unusual and hard-to-source beers are a fine overview; if staid (good Driftwoods on tap) the ciders, both on tap and bottled, will (like the food) give you a new reason to love this land.
