Head even more west than West Point Grey, past the untamed Pacific Spirit Park, to the green and sprawling University of British Columbia campus, and you’ll feel like you just left Vancouver behind. You’ll be right. West of Blanca, the land is unincorporated and managed by UBC itself—which gives the campus an entirely unique feel. Don’t expect cafeteria mystery meat and toga parties, though, as this well-maintained utopia is more than just a university, with the UBC Botanical Gardens, farm market, and many hidden beaches (one of which is even clothing optional).
