Arbutus Ridge

The sleepily residential midpoint between yuppie Kitsilano and staid Kerrisdale, Arbutus Ridge is quiet and comfortably suburban. Large lots and mature tree-lined streets give a family-friendly atmosphere. Amenities are sparser within this mainly residential area, but they’re top-notch, with cute cafes and specialty shops among the standouts. The opening of Loblaws City Market underneath high-end condos with a downtown view indicate the area could be the next desirable spot for young professionals. Locals praise the area as relaxed and walkable with a good number of parks, with shady tree-lined paths and an off-leash area at Quilchena Park as particular highlights.
