Seattle Art Fair Returns to CenturyLink
Artists flock to the Emerald City for the second annual Seattle Art Fair
July 11, 2016
This summer Seattle Art Fair, presented by AIG, will return to CenturyLink Field Event Centre from August 4th through 7th for its highly anticipated second edition. The 2016 fair will feature over eighty influential galleries exhibiting top modern and contemporary artwork alongside engaging Seattle Art Fair Projects. Added to this year’s itinerary is an exciting restaurant program developed with official chef partner Ethan Stowell that will keep visitors well fuelled for four days of artistic appreciation.
The second annual event welcomes several returning local, national, and international exhibitors including David Zwirner, Mariane Ibrahim Gallery, Kaikai Kiki Gallery, Paul Kasmin Gallery, Greg Kucera Gallery, and Pace Gallery along with many important newcomers including Petzel Gallery, SCAI THE BATHHOUSE, and Richard Gray Gallery.
The Seattle Art Fair Projects will also debut a new series of performances and installations to engage the fair’s public spaces and adjacent neighbourhoods. These special projects include dedicated works by Adam McEwen, Claire Falkenstein, teamLab, Dawn Kasper, Public Fiction, and Roxy Paine. The fair’s talk program—a focus on two-person dialogues by an array of West Coast artists and leaders that consider the way in which a sense of place can create a powerful cultural context—will include conversations with such influencers as Sharon Johnston, Rita McBride, Carrie Brownstein, Kim Gordon, and Brian Jungen
