Cibo Trattoria’s new dinner series explores Italy’s most delicious territory.

The multiple-award-winning Cibo Trattoria, which received commendation once again at last month’s 26th annual Restaurant Awards, launches a three-month gastronomic tour tomorrow (May 6) with its Veni, Vidi, Vino dinner series. A tribute to the most esteemed of Italy’s many trailblazing food and wine-producing regions, the series’ first edition stops off in the northeast haven of Veneto, known for cool-climate Soave as well as reds such as Valpolicella and Bardolino. Executive chef Faizal Kassam’s five-course menu includes a tortellini of braised lamb neck, spring peas, and fresh horseradish; grilled Fraser Valley quail; and walnut-caramel tart. Future dinners take in Sicily (June 2) and Tuscany (July 8), concluding with “Bottle Royale” (Aug. 2), in which some of B.C.’s best bottles vie against international selections. Each dinner’s seating is limited to 35. Tickets $89 (not including tax or gratuity) from 778-870-3787.Cibo Trattoria900 Seymour St.Cibotrattoria.com
