The Sip: Vancouver Craft Beer Week Celebrates 10 Years with a Worthy Saison

Vancouver Craft Beer Week gets bigger every year. And why wouldn’t it? As the craft-beer scene in the city reaches insane levels of popularity, the industry’s flagship event goes with it.
This year (the 10th anniversary of VCBW) promises dozens of events and specials, with tomorrow’s kickoff at Beaumont Studios and next weekend’s festival on Saturday and Sunday as the flagship affairs.
And it only makes sense that there’s a beer that’s made specifically for the occasion.
Smartly, those folks crafted a sessionable dry-hopped saison. While, yes, it’s drier than we’d usually like in a summer beer, it’s fruity enough to balance it out.
We may or may not have recently had it while playing softball (sports you can drink beer whilst playing are undoubtedly the best sports), and it fully delivered. It’s light and easy-to-drink, but still has some interesting characteristics that provide it with flavour and depth.
At 4.2 percent alcohol, the whole package works very nicely together.
Speaking of which, the can rivals the actual beer: the bright, extremely alluring colour is pure beauty. That’s thanks to Victoria artist Luke Ramsey, who created the compelling design.
It’ll have you looking trendy AF while thoroughly enjoying what you’re sipping. And that’s really what VCBW is all about, right?
