“Everyone needs a little weird in their life,” says Rachel Zottenberg, co-owner of Main Street’s new This Monkey’s Gone to Heaven. Inspired by the natural sciences, the curio shop is the antithesis of mass-produced, prepackaged goods.

Those who are adventurous and have an eye for the unusual can find everything from eclectic kids’ toys (knitted versions of dissected frogs) to animal bones to ethically sourced framed-and-mounted insects. “Everything has a story and every item is unique,” says Zottenberg.

Let’s just say this is your go-to place for voodoo dolls and insect lollipops.
