This one-bedroom condo in the heart of Yaletown is filled with cool, designer details.
The Details: #301 1180 Homer Street | $1,368,000 | 948 sq. ft. | Bed 1, Bath 2 | Built 2007The Condo: This stunning condo is highlighted with exposed brick and concrete walls, striking fir beams, reclaimed hardwood floors, and over-height ceilings. The original two-bedroom floor plan was redesigned to make a less practical, but far more open one-bedroom space that’s great for entertaining. It features a large gourmet kitchen with Miele and SubZero appliances, wood cabinetry, granite countertops and custom built-in bar. Master bathroom includes dual sinks with a deep soaker tub and separate steam shower with rain head. Though there is just one parking stall, it comes equipped with a two-car stacker and a Tesla rapid charger. The Building: McMaster is a boutique 15-unit complex built in 2007 by Townline Homes. While maintaining its 1910 heritage status and styling, the building includes many modern comforts like concrete construction, central air conditioning and the oh-so-cool car elevator. Large storage lockers are included for all units. The Neighbourhood: This prime Yaletown location is walking distance to everything. It’s also one of the prettier blocks in the neighbourhood. Great architecture lines both sides of the street, and it’s just far enough removed from the bar scene to be quieter than some of the surrounding areas. There is a JJ Bean on the corner to fuel your walk to work and plenty of options to pop in for a cocktail on the way home. Being two blocks from the skytrain station is a nice bonus, too.The Drawbacks: No outdoor space is the only real bummer with this one. You’ll have to walk a block into the heart of Yaletown if you want to do any outdoor entertaining. The price point for a one bedroom will also scare some people away.
